About the Role

Job Responsibilities

We are a non-profit organization seeking a motivated and experienced Fundraising Accountant or Grant Specialist to support our mission through strategic funding acquisition. This is a commission-based role ideal for professionals who excel at identifying funding opportunities and preparing successful grant proposals.


Specific Requirements

• Research and identify relevant funding opportunities, including government grants,

foundation programs, community support funds, and corporate sponsorships

• Prepare, write, and submit compelling grant proposals tailored to each funder’s

guidelines and requirements

• Communicate with funding bodies to follow up on submissions and address any

inquiries

• Provide expert advice on fundraising strategies and long-term financial sustainability

• Assist in preparing project budgets and financial reports to ensure compliance with

funding terms

• Earn commission based on the total amount of successfully secured funding — fair

and transparent structure


Expected Salary Range

This is a commission-based position. Compensation is determined as a percentage of

funds successfully obtained, with rates negotiable based on project scope and

complexity.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Background in accounting, finance, or a related field; experience in the non-profit

sector is a strong asset

• Familiarity with Canadian (or relevant regional) grant systems and application

processes

• Strong written communication skills and the ability to create persuasive proposals

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple deadlines

• Proven track record in successfully securing grant funding is preferred
