items that cater to the East Asian (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean), Southeast Asian
(e.g. Malaysian, Thai, Filipino),European,Canadian and South Asian (e.g. India,
Pakistan, Sri Lanka) diaspora. With our rapid expansion in GTA. We operate 3 grand
stores in Toronto. We teamed up with Walmart since 2015 and have 11 Walmart
in-stores in Toronto and Vancouver area.

About the Role
Job Description:
Conduct routine inspections of the grocery store and central kitchen to ensure compliance with food safety standards and corporate policy.
Monitor food handling, storage conditions, employee hygiene, and sanitation procedures, ensuring all practices meet national and provincial/local standards.
Develop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety policies in collaboration with quality assurance teams.
Provide on-site training and mentorship to employees on proper food handling, hygiene best practices, and corrective actions.
Identify potential food safety hazards through hazard analysis risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformance reports, corrective actions taken, and staff training.
Support internal and external audits and prepare facilities for assessments by regulatory bodies such as CFIA.
Collaborate with procurement teams to verify supplier documentation, such as Letters of Guarantee, ensuring upstream compliance with food safety standards.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of CFIA regulations, HACCP principles, GMP standards, and local/public health requirements.
Hands-on experience in food safety inspection or quality assurance within retail or food processing environments.
Strong analytical, observational, and documentation skills, with proficiency in preparing inspection reports.
Excellent communication and training abilities to effectively coach staff and liaise with regulatory agencies.
Must have a car, need to drive around our GTA stores regularly for compliance inspection.
