About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
Crisis & Safety Management
• Monitor weather and enforce safety protocols (e.g., recalling boats during storms)
• Lead emergency responses (e.g., rescues, first aid, damage control)
• Train staff on handling on-water emergencies
Conflict & Damage Resolution
• Handle guest disputes (e.g., damage, payment issues) diplomatically and firmly
• Document incidents (photos, reports) and liaise with insurance
• Establish and implement risk-reduction policies
Team & Operational Leadership
• Schedule staff to meet peak demand and emergencies
• Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure rental readiness
• Promote a culture of safety and guest satisfaction
Requirements
Specific Requirements:
Experience
• 3+ years in marine operations, hospitality, or related field
Technical Skills
• Basic mechanical understanding (e.g., engine troubleshooting, repairs)
• Knowledge of marine safety rules & regulations (certification is a plus)
Soft Skills
• Calm and decisive in pressure situations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Able to adapt to weather, customer, and staffing changes
Expected Salary Range:
• $60,000/year + performance bonuses
• 1-month paid vacation
